Central Maine Wreath is a family-owned and operated company created by Ambrose 'Tom' McCarthy Jr. over 40 years ago in Skowhegan, Maine.

We were among the first ones to capture the Christmas spirit and long-time New England decoration traditions in the design of our fresh handmade wreaths, centerpieces, garlands, crosses and canes. Our products embody the true feel of holidays and are widely recognized and appreciated. In 1988 Ambrose McCarthy created he National Wreath for the Unknown Soldier presented during the Cherry Blossom Festival ceremonies. Two years later we donated and shipped 500 decorated wreaths to the U.S. troops serving in the Persian Gulf. The gift arrived just in time for Christmas.

With the nation-wide and international recognition we choose to stay local and preserve the tradition the way we know and cherish it. Each holiday season Central Maine Wreath employs local families to work in the factory and in office fulfilling online, phone and mail orders. With the owner Tom McCarthy onsite overseeing all aspects of daily activities, his sister Phyllis in the factory managing the production, and the second generation in the offices and in the retail store - you see and know who handles your order from beginning to end.
